March 30- Animated Discussion “The Visual Horizon”

Okay, we need to build our consistency, so we’re definitely going to keep our promise to hold an “Animated Discussion” every month!  Especially now that we all can see something movin’ and shakin’ on the horizon, with new studios, game developers and a general intensifying of interest in Michigan’s film industry.

So mark your calendar for Tuesday, March 30, at 7pm-10pm for the next  “Animated Discussion”!

This is our third Discussion!  It will be held at the fabulous Expert Electronics in Grosse Pointe (the Village).  17100 Kercheval.  If you haven’t seen EE yet, you’re in for a treat!  It’s a cool venue.

Come discuss (in an animated, enthusiastic manner-) the trends, topical issues and truths behind the interesting goings on in Michigan’s animation, visual effects and visualization industry.  We generally will have a guest speaker or at least a moderator- on an interesting topic of interest to us in the digital arts.  I guarantee we’ll be talking about what’s going on down at Ford Field with Wonderstruck Studios!

I encourage you to bring a DVD of your latest work, ideas, projects- or your demo reel.  Also, if you’d like to bring some drinks, food (hey, enough to share!) or other goodies, we welcome your initiative.  I’m also looking for “Sponsors” to help provide goodies and other stuff to help make these Discussions more exciting and memorable. Contact me at to become a sponsor!

The goal of the Animated Discussions is to share our knowledge, tips, tricks, news and issues that affect our collective industry.  We want to encourage, inspire and support collaboration and teamwork.  We also want to help you and all of us together- to improve the Craft.

Please help spread the word- as this idea grows.  AD’s are fun, interesting, inspiring and educational.  Come and share your creative energy with us!
